Alexian Brothers Advanced Weight Solutions Support Groups
When you make a major life change, you need lots of support and encouragement. Our Freedom to Live program is built on a genuine support system of compassionate professionals, mentors, and peers. Sponsored by Alexian Brothers Advanced Weight Solutions, and led by a licensed clinical psychologist, our support groups provide a safe and comfortable environment where you can talk about the changes you'll be going through. Support groups are also a great place to share your questions, concerns, and experiences while also learning from other patients' success stories and challenges.
You'll be asked to attend at least one meeting before surgery to become familiar with our support network. After surgery, we require you to attend and participate in support groups as part of your follow-up and recovery program. We encourage you to bring one family member or support person with you to these meetings.
