About High Risk Pregnancy

Becoming a mother is one of the most exciting and personal experiences of your life. But for some women difficulties create what is called a "high-risk" pregnancy. High-risk complications occur in a small percentage of pregnancies but create complications that can be serious and require special care to ensure the best possible outcome.

We focus on women who have complications related to their pregnancies or women who have existing medical conditions such as diabetes or kidney disease that make pregnancy more risky. We also care for expectant moms whose baby is at risk due to fetal problems such as a heart defect diagnosed through ultrasound.

Our Doctors

At Alexian Brothers Women's Services our team of specialized doctors, nurses and support staff coordinates all aspects of care from diagnosis to delivery and long-term follow-up. Our on-site perinatal physicians are board-certified fellowship trained maternal-fetal medicine doctors who collaborate with your OB as well as pediatric specialists. We also have certified obstetric ultrasonographers to assist in your comprehensive care.
