A holistic art therapy group designed to promote emotional, psychological and spiritual health and healing by teaching adults relaxation, stress reducing tips and techniques and art as therapy. Each month participants will learn a new relaxation technique and/or make a different element to add to their personal healing corner. No artistic skills necessary, just an open mind. This program is open to any adult (must be 18 or older) looking to learn relaxation and stress reducing tips and techniques. This 10-week group uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which has been proven to be one of the most effective ways to overcome anxiety and panic problems. CBT helps individuals identify and change their anxiety-producing thoughts and self-defeating beliefs, which in turn helps decrease their anxiety and panic symptoms and increase their ability to get the most out of life. The Overcoming Anxiety group will be held on Tuesday or Thursday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. |
