Outpatient Bettendorf Pavilion

Outpatient Services

The Outpatient Bettendorf Pavilion, located at the north end of the hospital is the front door for most outpatient services at St. Alexius Medical Center. 

Endoscopy

After entering through the Outpatient Bettendorf Pavilion, patients are escorted up to the Endoscopy Center on 6 West.  Gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and bronchoscopy are performed in one of 4 procedure rooms.

Procedure Clinic 

Located on 5 West, procedures include:

-  Pain management
-  Blood transfusions
-  Chemotherapy
-  Antibiotic therapy
-  Minor surgery
-  Laser surgery
-  Diagnostic OTC testing

Interventional Cardiology

The following procedures are performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab:

-  Cardiac and peripheral angiograms
-  Angioplasty
-  Stent placement
-  Cardioversion
-  Pacemaker Insertion

Radiation Oncology

Located adjacent to the Outpatient Bettendorf Pavilion in Doctors Office Building Three, The Alexian Cancer Institute at Alexian Brothers Hospital Network is home to the most advanced cancer therapies using the very latest technologies and equipment including the following:

-  Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
-  Cone Beam CT (CBCT)
-  Mammosite HDR for breast cancer patients
-  Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
-  Advanced High-Dose Rate brachytherapy (HDR)
-  Low-dose Brachytherapy
-  Portal imaging

Our diagnostic capabilities are accredited by the College of American Pathologists, the Joint Commission, American College of Radiology, American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer Care and the American Diabetes Association.

Breast Care Center

Located adjacent to the Outpatient Bettendorf Pavilion just inside the entrance to Doctors Office Building Three, this dedicated area provides comfort and privacy.  Registration is completed without having to leave the department.  A board-certified radiologist reads all mammograms with the aid of a R-2 Imaging Computer Detection Device.

-  Screening and diagnostic mammography
-  Breast biopsy ultrasound
-  Stereotactic breast biopsy
-  Bone densitometry (DEXA)
-  Genetic counseling available for women with a family history of breast cancer
-  Free MammaCare® breast self examination instructions are available

Scheduling and Pre-Registration

Patients who are pre-registered will require just a short stop at registration before their procedure.
