About the Pediatric Unit

We make kids and parents feel at home while we tend to their needs.

For parents, nothing is more important than the welfare of your children. That's why you want the best care available when your child needs medical attention.  We provide specialized care for children in an environment specifically designed with children in mind. We are your medical home away from home so you  and your immediate family can visit any time day or night.

Available at the Children’s Hospital on the campus of St. Alexius Medical Center:

• Cheerfully decorated private rooms
• Comfortable pull out couches and amenities to accommodate a parent’s overnight stays
• Games, toys and books
• VCR/DVD player and a large selection of movies and cartoons in each room
• Specially designed area on the unit for play time or story time
• Child Life therapist
• Pediatric Hospitalist on site 24 hours a day
