Intensive Care Nursery Team

Our neonatologists are board-certified pediatric physicians with a subspecialty in neonatology, or the medical care of newborn infants, especially the ill or premature newborn infant. They are on site and available 24 hours a day.

Our neonatologists are available to meet with you before the birth of your child and will update you daily on your baby's condition during your child's hospital stay. Our on-site High Risk Follow-up Clinic, adjacent to St. Alexius Medical Center, allows us to monitor your baby's growth and development after discharge to your home.

Intensive Care Nursery Services

At St. Alexius Medical Center, we have the only Level II Special Care Nursery with extended capabilities that performs neonatal surgery. These surgeries are performed by fellowship-trained, board-certified pediatric surgeons and anesthesiologists.
