About Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics
When your child has a delay in reaching developmental milestones you want an accurate assessment and treatment plan to address these needs. Early identification of developmental disorders can greatly increase the likelihood of an intervention that will benefit your child.
We use a multi-disciplinary team approach to evaluate children with suspected developmental, behavioral or learning problems. Our team consists of highly trained professionals in:
- Developmental and behavioral pediatrician
- Developmental therapy
- Nursing
- Occupational therapy
- Speech therapy
- Social work
- Psychology
We provide a comprehensive evaluation and, depending on the age and presenting concern, utilize specific tools to determine the diagnosis. Our clinic is designed to provide your family with as much information regarding the condition as possible, and also identify specific community resources for the unique needs of your child.
We also work with the IL Early Intervention Program. Early Intervention is for children birth to 3 years of age with suspected delays. For more information please go to the Bureau of Early Intervention at www.dhs.state.il.us/ei .
