Special Care Nursery at Alexian Brothers Pediatric Services

Pediatrics Intensive Care

Whether your child is born prematurely or suffers from a medical condition or you need assistance for a high-risk pregnancy or post-surgical care, Alexian Brothers Special Care Nursery (SCN) provides the best care available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our SCN is a designated level II center with extended capabilities, which means that we provide comprehensive care with 24-hour availability of all essential specialties, personnel and equipment.

Parents are invited to be involved in all aspects of their child's care. We encourage one parent to stay overnight with the child. As a courtesy, we provide the visiting parent with a complimentary meal when food is served. We encourage visitation by siblings and other family members and visiting hours are flexible.

New Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

  • State-of-the-art technology
  • Evidence based design for care and comfort
