Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
When a child is suffering from a serious illness, expertise and cutting-edge technology are essential. Our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit provides both.
Our six bed unit is staffed by a Pediatric Intensivist, a physician who specializes in the care and supervision of critically ill children. Our Critical Care Team, who are trained to use the latest technology to diagnose and treat children's conditions, provide care to the pediatric intensive care unit 24 hours a day. Along with the specially trained nurses, they coordinate the delivery of complex medical care and keep your family pediatrician informed on the plan of care.
Parents are invited to be involved in all aspects of their child's care. We encourage one parent to stay overnight with the child. As a courtesy, we provide the visiting parent with a complimentary meal when food is served. We encourage visitation by siblings and other family members and visiting hours are flexible.
