Epilepsy Support Group For Parents & Caregivers

Support Groups for Stroke
To register or for questions on any of the groups listed below, please call 847-437-5500 ext. 4844. For registration purposes, please leave your name, phone number, email address, home address and diagnosis and we will return your call.

Aphasia Conversation Group
Every Wednesday - 10-11 a.m.
Location: Niehoff Conference Room
955 Beisner Road
Elk Grove Village, IL 60007
Open to all persons who have aphasia as a result of their stroke.

Second Chance Society and Survivors Group
Monthly events are at Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital and at social venues. All survivors of a stroke, head injury or other neurological injury are welcome as well as spouses, friends and caregivers. Transportation must be provided by the members. All sites chosen are wheelchair accessible.
Twice a month events are held to provide stroke education to stroke survivors and families who may be new to stroke.

Telephone Stroke Support Group
Monthly events held 8-10 times/year by phone for caregivers and survivors of stroke. Monthly speakers address a variety of topics related to stroke. This initiative is held in collaboration with American Stroke Assoication, Stroke Survivors Empowering Each Other (SSEEO) and Alexian Brothers Neurosciences Institute.
