Post-Stroke Rehabilitation
Our stroke rehabilitation team provides expert care to manage each patient's condition, help avoid complications that could impede progress, and map out strategies to maximize recovery after stroke and reduce the risk of stroke recurrence. In addition, the Alexian Brothers Neurosciences Institute also offers stroke support groups and sponsors a stroke camp.
Stroke Rehabilitation Program
Rehabilitation physicians, known as physiatrists, at Alexian Brothers Stroke Rehabilitation Program are recognized leaders in the field of stroke rehabilitation. Physical, occupational, and speech therapists work with patients individually and as a team to help address the unique effects of stroke in the inpatient and outpatient setting, including changes in mobility, self-care, memory, and/or communication.
