Concetta M. Forchetti, MD, PhD
Dr. Forchetti has more than 20 years’ experience in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. In addition to being a board-certified neurologist, she has a doctorate degree in neuropharmacology and completed postgraduate fellowship training with the National Institutes of Health. She is a recognized innovator of memory loss treatments.
Dr. Forchetti worked previously at the Rush Alzheimer’s Center. As a respected expert in the field, she was invited to found the Alexian Brothers Memory Disorder Center. She also instructs prospective neurologists as a clinical assistant professor of neurology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.
Devoted to increasing public awareness, Dr. Forchetti frequently lectures throughout the Chicago and surrounding area. She has received multiple honors and awards for her achievements in and dedication to the field of neurology and is the author of many publications and articles. She is a member of several professional neurological organizations.
Dr. Forchetti’s present research focuses are on experimental drug studies for Alzheimer’s disease and clinical studies of neurodegenerative disorders. She is a pioneer in the clinical trials which brought forward many of the memory disorder medications currently available. She has participated in more than 100 research studies to identify next-generation treatment options for dementia, and has published extensively in scientific, peer-reviewed journals.
