The Alexian Brothers Epilepsy Center offers children and adults with epilepsy access to the exceptional—expert epilepsy specialists, extraordinary care, comprehensive treatment, and innovative technology.
The goal of our multidisciplinary team of epilepsy experts is to provide individually designed treatment plans to improve seizure control and achieve an enhanced quality of life for each patient we serve.
Designated a Level 3 specialized epilepsy center by The
National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC), our center provides patients
access to excellent epilepsy care. These services include diagnostic evaluations and
management of seizure disorder, pharmacologic management, neuropsychological
evaluations and VNS therapy.

Referral Guidelines
The National Association of Epilepsy Centers recommends a referral to a specialized epilepsy center when patients:
- Experience recurring seizures after 3 months of care by a general practitioner.
- Continue to have uncontrolled seizures after 12 months of care by a general neurologist.
