Our expert treatment team from the Illinois Gamma Knife Center at Alexian Brothers Neuroscience Institute includes neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, a medical physicist and nurses. Each of these staff members has been specially trained in stereotactic radiosurgery; a therapy that uses precise beams of radiation to treat tumors. Some of our staff have trained in Stockholm Sweden, where the Gamma Knife originated, or at a specialized medical center in Pittsburgh, PA.
