Interfaith Parish Support Services at Alexian Brothers Health System Mission Integration

Our Services

Community Chaplain Services

Community Chaplain Services strive to identify needs of the local parish and use the vast resources of the Alexian Health System to meet these needs.

Congregational Health/ Faith Community Nurse Services

Congregational Health/Faith Community Nurse Services are health resources that a parish can use to improve the well-being of its congregation.

Internship Opportunities

An internship at Interfaith Parish Support Services (IPSS) will prepare you for a career in a mental health ministry.  Interns are mentored by one of our Parochial School Support Services staff, where the Intern will assist with providing school social work services.  In addition, the Intern may provide individual, marital or family therapy under the direct supervision of our Intern Coordinator.  There are additional ways to expand an internship experience throughout the various services provided by IPSS.

Interfaith Counseling Services

Interfaith Counseling Services provides skilled and compassionate care to those facing emotional, physical and spiritual challenges.

Marriage and Family Therapy Training

Marriage and Family Therapy Training is a two-year program designed for Master's and Doctoral level students who want to deliver counseling services under the supervision of a licensed marriage and family therapist.

Parochial School Support Services (PSSS)

Our licensed social workers and counselors assist children in parochial schools who are struggling with academic or social issues. School social workers act as liaison between the parochial school, your family and outside services to ensure that your child's needs are met in an appropriate and timely manner.

Spiritual Companioning

The goal of spiritual companioning is to help you grow in your relationship with God, increase your self-knowledge, integrate your life experience, and discern and respond to God's leading.  Our certified spiritual companions are available to meet with interested people either as individuals or as a part of a spiritual companioning small group experience.

Visitation Chaplain Services

Visitation Chaplain Services provides 30 weeks of training and supervision for individuals interested in learning how to address spiritual needs in a health care setting.

Women at the Well

Women at the Well is a grass roots parish-based ministry led by a core group of women in your parish. This ecumenical ministry is designed to enrich and empower women mentally, physically, and spiritually.
