In order to receive home health services, you must have a physician order.  Your physician must have seen you within the last six months.

Payment and Insurance Coverage

If you have traditional Medicare coverage (not a Medicare replacement product), home health services are completely covered at no cost to you as long as you are homebound, require skilled services and have an order from your physician.

Other insurance carriers may require a copay for home health services, usually in the range of 20% of the charges.  They often also require you to be homebound, and all require a physician order.  Some insurance carriers may limit the number of visits you may receive.

Alexian Brothers Home Health precertifies every potential client before providing services, so that if you are liable for any payments you will be informed before they are delivered.
