Directions to Alexian Brothers Medical Center

  • From the North - Using I-290/Rt.53 head south to the Biesterfield Road Exit; make a left onto Biesterfield Road and travel east about one quarter mile. Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital is located on the right hand side (south) of Biesterfield Road.
  • From the South - Using I-355 head north to the Biesterfield Road Exit (I-355 turns into Rt. 53, Rt. 53 turns into I-290); make a right on Biesterfield Road and travel east about one quarter mile. Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital is located on the right hand side (south) of Biesterfield Road.
  • From the East - Using I-290 head west toward Rockford (I-290 merges with Rt. 53) to the Biesterfield Road Exit; make a right on Biesterfield Road and travel east about one quarter mile. Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital is located on the right hand side (south) of Biesterfield Road.
  • From the West - Using the Elgin O'Hare Expressway head east until the Expressway turns into Thorndale Avenue; continue on Thorndale Avenue staying to the right; make a right onto I-290 heading west to Rockford. When exiting stay to the right of the Expressway, the Biesterfield Road Exit is about one mile north and exits to the right. Make a right onto Biesterfield Road and travel east about one quarter mile. Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital is located on the right hand side (south) of Biesterfield Road.
  • Parking at Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital - parking is available directly in font of the main hospital entrance. Parking is also permitted at any of the lots at Alexian Brothers Medical Center across the street.

Directions to St. Alexius Medical Center

  • From the North - Main thoroughfares (Rt. 22, Northwest Highway, Lake-Cook Road, Dundee Road, Palatine Road and Algonquin Road are the most common) to Barrington Road. Take Barrington Road south - over I-90 (Northwest Tollway) - about one mile further. Hospital is on the east side of Barrington Road.
  • From the East - Either I-90 (Northwest Tollway) or Higgins Road (Rt. 72) west to southbound Barrington Road. Hospital is on the east side of Barrington Road. OR Golf Road (Rt. 58) west to northbound Barrington Road. Hospital is approximately 1/4 mile on the east side of the road.
  • From the South - Any of the main thoroughfares (Lake Street, Irving Park Road, Schaumburg Road, Golf Road) to Barrington Road north. Hospital is approximately 1/4 mile past Golf Road on the east side of the street.
  • From the West - Golf Road east to Barrington Road north about 1/4 mile on the east side of the street OR Higgins Road east to Barrington Road south. Hospital about 1/4 mile on the east side of the street. I-90 east, exit Rt. 59 and turn north to connect to Higgins Road or south to connect to Golf Road and proceed as above from Golf or Higgins Roads.
