Our pediatric emergency care has been recognized by National Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC). This means that EmergiKids, Alexian's Pediatric Emergency Care meets the strictest standards for providing emergency care to critically ill and injured children.

In addition to compassionate care, EmergiKids offers:

• Care from 12:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. daily at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates
• Care from 2:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on weekends at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village
• Prompt attention by trained emergency nurses
• Access to psychologists and other professionals equipped to deal with the emotional or drug-related crises of children and adolescents
• Helicopter transport for more serious injuries
• Language services for non-English speaking patients and families
