Our Teachers at the Alexian Brothers Child Care Center
Our teachers are the cornerstone of the Child Care Center. We carefully select only those teachers who are knowledgeable, educated, and experienced in early childhood to work with our children and families. The majority of our 32 teachers have a two-year degree or hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Those who have earned a CDA are uniquely qualified to work with parents and other adults to help nurture children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Other teachers have four-year and master's degrees. In addition, teachers maintain their professional status by completing a minimum of 15 hours of in-service training annually, including infant/child CPR.
Before hiring, all candidates undergo background and fingerprint checks to ensure a safe and caring environment for your child.
Your child's teacher is an important part of his or her life. Eighty percent of our staff has been with the center at least five years. Our ability to retain staff stems from our family-like atmosphere and the value we place on our employees.
