Our Tests, Treatments, and Therapies
After you arrive at our Breast Care Program you may participate in a special multi-disciplinary conference with a team of cancer specialists that may be involved with your treatment. These professionals may include surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists and primary care physicians.
You will have access to a personal Nurse Navigator whose role is to follow a patient from the time of initial cancer diagnosis throughout their treatment and follow-up care.
The nurse navigator provides one-on-one:
- Understanding of healthcare options
- Emotional support
- Referral to support services; including social workers, counselors and nutritionists.
We also offer a breast cancer support-education group for those newly diagnosed and those living with breast cancer. The group provides a safe supportive atmosphere to listen, share and promote positive coping.
