About Us

Being treated for cancer can create unique cosmetic needs, such as a temporary wig or a cranial or breast prosthesis. Our boutique at The Cancer Institute in Alexian Brothers Hospital Network caters to the cosmetic needs of our patients. Hairstylists are available to assist in styling a patient's purchased wig. Make-up specialists assist you with tips and techniques that will enhance your own beauty and minimize skin changes caused by cancer treatment.

You can also meet with a licensed cosmetologist to be fitted for a cranial and/or breast prosthesis. Your initial consultation for the prosthesis is free, but there is a cost for the product. You should check with your insurance company regarding reimbursement policies.
