Spiritual Care at Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital
Our Services
Chapel Services
A Catholic Mass is offered every Sunday at 1p.m. in the chapel located on the ground floor near the entrance to the building. Throughout the year, ecumenical services are offered during designated church celebrations. Please call 847-437-5000 ext. 7446 if you have questions about our services or special events.
Spiritual Care Visits
Every person who is an inpatient at our rehabilitation facility receives a visit by a chaplain to inquire about spiritual needs. Being hospitalized can be stressful and unsettling. That's why we are committed to helping you and your family adjust to changes you might encounter. Once we have established your spiritual needs we will provide ongoing care and support for you and your family during your hospitalization.
Family Conferences
The need for rehabilitation usually means that you and your family also have to adjust to one or more significant changes in your lives as you prepare to leave our rehabilitation hospital. Our chaplain welcomes the opportunity to have family conferences to discuss these and other common transitions:
- Learning to live with the physical and/or mental limitations
- Adjustments to living situations
- Building an adequate support system
