Take a Harper College Class at Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health!

Studies have shown that participation in supported education is the single-most consistent and significant predictor of successful employment. Being a student is an important and meaningful role. Education provides a sense of accomplishment and purpose. 

 

We are partnering with Harper College to offer college-level classes at Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health taught by Harper College faculty. 

Course:  Workplace Communication (OCC040)

This one credit hour course focuses on learning keys to effective communication in the workplace including:

  • How to talk to your boss, co-workers and customers
  • How to agree or disagree respectfully
  • How to ask for changes in your schedule
  • How to accept compliments or criticisms with grace
  • How to work as part of a team

Where:

Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health, 3350 Salt Creek Lane, Suite 114 in Arlington Heights.

When:

The course will be offered from 4 p.m. to  6 p.m. one night per week (Tuesdays) for 8 weeks. Classes will start on March 30, 2010 and end on May 18, 2010.
