Katie Connolly, PHP Team Leader, has a Master’s Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Illinois State University.  “I base my work in the belief that anyone is capable of recovery and that all people are searching for lives worth living.  I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship, in which the people that I serve feel safe, validated, and respected, can be a major impetus to change and I do my best to put this into practice.  I operate from a contextual-behavioral approach and most often apply Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Functional Analytic Therapy techniques.  I feel blessed to be allowed the opportunity to do what I love and have the chance to make a difference in the lives of others.” 

Joyce Hofbauer, LCPC, PHP Therapist, received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.  “I believe in a collaborative approach to psychotherapy, focusing on creating a supportive and nurturing environment where I can help clients explore areas of dissatisfaction in their life so they can make healthier choices and boost their self-confidence while highlighting or discovering strengths to lead a more meaningful life.” Joyce is best described as open-minded, non-judgmental and caring.  Her sense of humor often brings an uplifting quality to the work.    

Deepak Kapoor, MD, has been a Psychiatrist on staff at Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health since 2008.  Prior to that, Dr. Kapoor was the Chairman in the Department of Psychiatry at John H. Stroger, Jr., Hospital of Cook County, former Assistant Professor at Rush University and Associate Clinical Professor at UIC.
