Women have unique concerns when managing depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. This group encourages exploration of your past and current experiences and how they relate to your current growth by helping you decrease symptoms, manage anger, increase self-care, and understand the dynamics of your relationships.
Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
This group has been designed primarily for adults struggling with borderline personality disorder, depression, suicidal thoughts, and impulsive behaviors. Participation in this group will teach new coping strategies and reinforce positive coping skills while helping group members to identify unhealthy behaviors.
Overcoming Anxiety
This 10-week group uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which has been proven to be one of the most effective ways to overcome anxiety and panic problems. CBT helps individuals identify and change their anxiety-producing thoughts and self-defeating beliefs, which in turn helps decrease their anxiety and panic symptoms and increase their ability to get the most out of life. The Overcoming Anxiety group will be held on Tuesday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 pm or Thursdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Anger Management
Learn effective coping behaviors to stop escalation and work through anger in healthy ways. Understand anger dynamics, apply new skills, lower your anger by managing stress, change negative self-talk and convert anger into forgiveness.
**A ten hour certificate will be given at the completion of this program for court or employer requirements.
Teen Anxiety(Ages 13-17)
In this 10-week program, you will learn practical and effective techniques to decrease your anxiety by mastering relaxation, coping with panic, overcoming negative self-talk, changing mistaken beliefs, and increasing self-esteem.
Managing Emotions / Teen DBT(Ages 13-18)
This group uses Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which is a cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused therapy that emphasizes skill development. The overall goal of this group is to create emotional balance by learning and using positive emotional expression, communication, and coping strategies. These skills will enable adolescents to change behavioral, emotional, and thinking patterns associated with problems that can cause conflict and distress in their lives.
Young Adults (Ages 18-30)
This group is for individuals coping with issues that typically occur during this transition phase of life. Topics include coping with symptoms, dealing with independence, jobs/school and processing problems.
