Dr. Maxim Chasanov Awarded #1 Psychiatrist in Illinois in 2008
Maxim Chasanov, M.D., Medical Director of the Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health in Arlington Heights is
the 2008 recipient of the Psychiatrist of the Year Award presented by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) - Illinois. The award was presented at the NAMI - Illinois annual conference on October 17 in Lisle.
NAMI is the nation's leading grassroots advocacy organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with mental illness and their families. NAMI - Illinois honors a physician each year who demonstrates commitment and dedication to improving the lives of people with mental illness and their families through direct patient care or support of a NAMI - Illinois affiliate. Dr. Chasanov was nominated for the award by Joan Entwhistle, President of NAMI Northwest Suburban.
"Dr. Chasanov has dedicated his career to helping individuals with mental illness," says Scott Burgess, Vice President of Operations for Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health. "His passion for this work is evident in his treatment for individuals and families as well as numerous community education presentations."
