We are pleased to announce that our 10th annual golf event raised $57,000 net profit with donations still coming in. The monies raised will be used to sustain services for our current clients even in the wake of state and United Way reductions as well as grow services such as counseling for the poor, school based services for children with social, emotional issues, etc..
As a recap, the golf course was completely filled with 144 golfers and we were blessed with a picture perfect day! Those who participated commented that the course was immaculate, the facility was beautiful inside and out and the food was wonderful. After golfing, all enjoyed the open bar, silent auction, dinner and the program. The presentation of the "Chief" recognition plaque in memory of Bill Keehan (who helped start the golf outing ten years ago) was a favorite moment for many. Ken Doruff, a Center volunteer for many years, was the recipient of this honor for his outstanding dedication to volunteerism and tirelessly raising community awareness of mental illness and the needs of those with behavioral and developmental health issues. The Center video was shown and a client spoke about receiving services at the Center.
We sincerely wish to thank all of our community partners who participated, donated, and golfed in this event. The gift of sharing your time and resources with us truly demonstrates your dedication to helping those in need receive the care required to survive and thrive! Your donations are indeed saving and changing lives. We would not be able to provide treatment for our 3,000 clients annually served if it were not for the support of our community partners such as you.
For our clients, their families, our staff and community, thank you!!!! Looking forward to seeing you next year!!!
With great gratitude,
Scott Burgess
