Alexian Brothers and Dominican University Form Partnership
The Brennan School of Business faculty at Dominican University in River Forest is teaching on-site MBA courses to all interested Alexian Brothers employees and members of the community. Dominican's arrival on the ABMC Campus marks the first university presence in Elk Grove Village.
Dominican University is known for its teaching excellence and academic reputation. The true heart of the University is its core values of Caritas et Veritas, love and truth. The strengths of the relationship between the Alexian Brothers and Dominican University are the similar values that each organization practices," said Brother Ted Loucks, C.F.A., Provost of the Workforce Development Learning Institute and Community Director.
Dominican University, previously known as Rosary College, was founded in 1901 by the Sinsinawa Dominican sisters. In May 1997, the University became known as Dominican University. Since then the University ranks as one of the top Midwest Universities in "America's Best Colleges" and is ranked as a "Great School at a Great Price" by U.S.News and World Report. In the last ten years, enrollment has nearly doubled.
Since its founding in 1977, the Brennan School of Business at Dominican has developed a reputation for its focus on global business healthcare administration and international study, its dedication to developing students’ knowledge of entrepreneurial business practices, and its commitment to business ethics, as reflected in the Christopher Chair in Business Ethics. In recent years, the school has expanded its global reach and perspective by partnering with top-ranked universities in China, the Czech, India and Poland to offer MBA programs.
