Valerie Luxon, Psy.D
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Luxon is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families since 2003. Dr. Luxon specializes in individuals with autism spectrum and developmental disorders, eating disorders and those struggling with self-injury. Dr. Luxon also has extensive experience working with anxiety and mood disorders (i.e., depression, bipolar disorder), disruptive/defiant behaviors, parenting concerns, and family conflict. Dr. Luxon’s work with individuals with self-destructive behaviors, such as eating disorders and non-suicidal self-injury, include an emphasis on emotion regulation, body image disturbance, past trauma/abuse and relationship issues. In her work with children and adolescents, Dr. Luxon encourages a collaborative approach including the individual, parents/guardians, teachers and other professionals. Dr. Luxon uses an integrative approach to facilitate growth and positive changes in thoughts, behavior and mood.
