The Older Adult Behavioral Health Program offers specialized services to accommodate your specific treatment needs. These services include various types of therapies and groups, such as:

• Group activities offering social interaction
• Individual therapy
• Physical, speech, and occupational therapies

Crisis Intervention

On occasion, emotional, cognitive, or medical conditions may cause sudden changes in an older adult's behavior without warning. Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital offers crisis consultations to assess these conditions and determine appropriate treatment options. This unique service offers a Psychiatric Registered Nurse who provides personalized attention to assess, refer, and assist with the involuntary process of admission to our specialized Geriatric Psychiatric Inpatient Units (when appropriate). 

Colleen Caron, RNC, MS personally collaborates with nursing homes, assisted living facilities, retirement homes, senior services, community mental health organizations, and case managers to help manage this often overhwelming process for families. This individualized service is provided at no cost to providers.
