Bulimia Nervosa
- Rapidly consuming large amounts of food in an unusually short period of time
- Using inappropriate compensatory behaviors to “purge” food already consumed
- Self-induced vomiting, exercise, laxatives, diuretics, restricting
- Binge/purge cycles occur at last 2x/week
- Purging Type (regular use of purgatives or compensatory behaviors)
- Non-Purging Type (utilizes fasting or excessive exercise to compensate but not self-induced vomiting or laxatives)
