Autism

Individuals within the autistic spectrum face a variety of unique mental health challenges throughout their lifetime. Many will require a specialized treatment program to address those challenges. Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital has designed a treatment approach to help individuals with autism build emotional, social, and life skills that can be applied in all areas of life.

We provide psychiatric and psychotherapeutic mental health services to individuals within the moderate to higher functioning segment of the autistic spectrum. This includes those with Asperger's Syndrome, high functioning autism, pervasive developmental disorders, nonverbal learning disabilities, and childhood disintegrative disorder. Treatment is available for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults.

  • Poor management of emotion
  • Marked decrease in ability to function
