Adult Partial Hospital Program at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital

Our Tests, Treatments, and Therapies

The Adult Partial Hospital Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital offers specialized programming for adults 18 and older who are in the process of recovery from an emotional illness. The program runs Monday through Friday for approximately six-and-a-half hours each day. The Intensive Outpatient Program runs four days a week for three hours each day.

While a part of the Adult Partial Hospital Program, you will have the opportunity to participate in a number of groups created to help you develop life skills and positive coping strategies. These groups include:

  • Problem Solving Skills: In this group, you will identify problems you are facing and learn to select healthy options for effectively coping with or resolving your problems.
  • Coping Skills: This group focuses on managing personal crises and recognizing and expressing your feelings.
  • Anger Management: As part of this group, you will work on recognizing and managing your anger in healthy ways.
  • Medication Management: This group focuses on the role of medication in your recovery and the importance of compliance.

Other groups such as expressive therapies, spirituality group, and nutrition group supplement the traditional talk-therapy groups offered at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital.
