Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital (ABBHH) offers a full continuum of care for individuals facing mental, emotional and chemical dependency problems. The hospital provides inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and traditional outpatient services for children, adolescents, adults and older adults. Specialty programs include substance abuse, eating disorders, self-injury, neuropsychiatry, obsessive-compulsive disorder, autism spectrum disorders and women’s issues. Your donation will help us offer our patients the benefit of cutting-edge technologies in medicine and behavioral science, combined with the healing power of compassion.

Support Our Mission

Capital Expansion and Building Improvements: To serve an ever-growing number of people in our local communities, we must expand and improve our facilities as needed. Your donation will enable Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital to grow and prosper through capital improvements and technology.

Area of Greatest Need: We often take mental health for granted. But when assistance is needed, it's good to know there are resources available to help. Your donation to Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital general fund will be used where the need is most urgent.

Community Encouragement Fund for Mental Health: Everyone needs encouragement, but few need it more than those who have no resources to cope with mental health concerns. This fund has been established to specifically help children and adolescents who have no place else to turn for help. You may also designate your gift to help a child or adult who is undergoing treatment in one of the programs offered by Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital.

Eating Disorders Program: Eating disorders often need expert intervention and high accountability. The Eating Disorders Program at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital provides just this type of care. Your donation will aid individuals struggling with eating disorders to get the comprehensive care they need to overcome anorexia nervosa, bulimia, compulsive overeating and binge eating.  

Depression Treatment Services: Depression can be a debilitating condition if not treated. At Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital we provide a wide range of treatments for those struggling with depression. Your donation will help Alexian patients to continue their therapy and provide educational materials to support their treatment.

Chemical Dependency Treatment Services: The decision to begin chemical dependency treatment is often a new lease on life. Our Chemical Dependency Treatment Services address mental and physical aspects of alcohol or drug abuse and help patients develop relapse prevention skills. Your donation will help Alexian patients continue their therapy and provide educational materials to support their treatment.

Pregnancy and Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program: The months following delivery of a new baby can be the most challenging for some mothers. Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital has a Pregnancy and Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorder Program that helps mothers in need. Your donation to this program provides support to women suffering from postpartum depression and/or anxiety. Your gift can also help provide other services such as health screenings, prevention and wellness education and a variety of support groups to meet the needs of women in their childbearing years. Funds will also be used to help support a fathers' group to educate them on postpartum depression and gain greater comfort in their new role as parent.

Respite Care and Support for Postpartum Moms: Mothers who have recently delivered a baby often need a break. That is why Alexian offers Respite Care and Support for Postpartum Moms. We provide services that allow a mother to step away from the demands of motherhood for short periods of time and focus on her own well-being. Your donation to this fund makes it possible for certified nurses and other health care professional to offer in-home "respite" care to mothers and babies in need of this service.

Hispanic Support Groups for Postpartum Moms: The months following the delivery of a baby can be lonely and isolating, especially for those who do not speak English as their first language. That is why Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital offers Hispanic Support Groups for Postpartum Moms. This bilingual support group acts as a resource for Hispanic women to get the support they need in these crucial post-delivery months. Your donation will go toward offering in-home respite care of mother and baby, education in English as a second language, and finding community resources to support Hispanic moms in need.

Self-Injury Recovery Services: When someone is prone to self-injury, the need for competent help and support is often urgent. Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital provides Self-Injury Recovery Services to help those who need this kind of support and intervention. Your gift will help Alexian patients to continue their therapy and provide educational materials to help them learn to self-manage destructive impulses.
