(Arlington Heights, Ill. and Hinsdale, Ill.) – Alexian Brothers Health System (ABHS), part of St. Louis-based Ascension Health and Adventist Midwest Health (AMH), part of Adventist Health System, announce the signing of a non-binding letter of intent to form a joint operating company (JOC). The letter calls for the two Health Systems to pursue a possible affiliation under which four AMH hospitals and five ABHS hospitals in suburban Chicago will join forces to create an integrated health care system.
Arlington Heights’ Homeless Outreach Program Wins Award

Arlington Heights is receiving a Community Partnership award from the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) for a Homeless Outreach Program that is a collaborative effort between the Police Department and Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health based in Arlington Heights. The Village will receive the award at ICMA’s 100th Annual Conference in mid- September.
New Ambulances Serve the Alexian Brothers Community

(Arlington Heights, IL) -- Alexian Brothers Health System (ABHS) recently unveiled two ambulances branded with the Health System’s logo that are dedicated to providing transportation solely for ABHS patients. Moreover, they are being used to help educate the public on emergency medical services and what happens inside an ambulance.
Governor Quinn Announces $68 Million Project to Build New Barrington Road Interchange on I-90

HOFFMAN ESTATES – Governor Pat Quinn today announced a $68 million project to reduce congestion and increase access at the Barrington Road Interchange on the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90). The project will reconfigure the busy interchange to provide full access to and from I-90, and accommodate a future Pace bus route along the Tollway. Today's announcement is part of Governor Quinn's agenda to create jobs and build a 21st century infrastructure that will drive Illinois’ economy forward.
