Alexian Brothers Neurosciences Institute

Our specially trained stroke team is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with access to state-of-the-art technology and resources to accurately diagnose stroke, immediately initiate treatment and facilitate rehabilitation at Alexian Brothers Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.

The staff at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village and St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates are nationally recognized for providing the highest level of stroke care possible and for having among the best stroke outcomes in the nation.

The team uses a multidisciplinary approach to provide customized care for the immediate and future needs of each patient. We were among the first programs in the country to offer the special assistance of a stroke nurse navigator to help patients live the best quality of life possible by easing their transition from hospital to home.

Alexian Brothers Medical Center is one of 33 hospitals in the nation that have earned the highest level of stroke care certification from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
