Crisis Intervention

An emergency includes having suicidal or homicidal thoughts, needing to be hospitalized, or having uncontrollable symptoms. For life threatening emergencies, clients and/or their family members should call 911.

Crisis intervention is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week, 365 days per year. These services are available to assist clients and family members in acute crisis situations. During operating hours, emergencies are handled by clinical staff on duty.

When the Center is closed, clients calling with emergencies should call the Center phone number (847-952-7460) and follow the instructions. This will connect you with our answering service. A crisis worker will be paged for emergencies and will return your call and assist you with your emergency.
