
The Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health offers specialty groups for individuals that struggle with mental health and addiction issues. Groups that are offered during the daytime hours include:
MISA
The MISA (Mentally ill, substance abusing) group is a professionally led group that provides education on severe mental illness and addictive behaviors and training in coping skills, relapse prevention, social skills and goal setting. The focus is on emotional/physical/spiritual wellness and building a life worth living.
DDA
Dual Disorders Anonymous is a non-professional, self-help, 12-step group that provides social support for individuals who have both a mental illness and addictive behaviors. It is open to mentally ill members of the community whose goal is to achieve or maintain abstinence.
