Edward Goldberg

President/Chief Executive Officer - St. Alexius Medical Center

Mr. Goldberg has been a hospital administrator for more than thirty years. For the past twelve years, he has served as the president/CEO of St. Alexius Medical Center, a 331-bed medical/surgical facility in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The hospital, previously owned by Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation, was purchased and became part of the Alexian Brothers Hospital Network in 1999.

Mr. Goldberg oversees all of the strategic and operational processes at St. Alexius Medical Center. Under his leadership the hospital has had dramatic increases in admissions, and outpatient visits. With a strong focus on physician relations, St. Alexius Medical Center consistently achieves some of the nation's highest physician satisfaction scores under Mr. Goldberg's direction. 

A native of Chicago's south side, Mr. Goldberg earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Northern Illinois University and a master's degree in hospital and health services administration from Ohio State University.

Prior to this position, Mr. Goldberg served as administrator at Hartgrove Hospital, Chicago, Illinois; Charter Barclay, Chicago, Illinois; and Coral Gables Hospital, Coral Gables, Florida. He is a founding member of the Hoffman Estates Economic Development Commission, a member of the Hoffman Estates Park District Foundation Board, and a founding Board Member of the Northwest Executive Club.
