Provincial - Congregation of Alexian Brothers of the Immaculate Conception Province
Brother Richard was installed as the 25th Provincial of the Congregation of Alexian Brothers of the Immaculate Conception Province on June 20, 2006.
In this four-year term, Brother Richard will oversee the Alexian Brothers and their ministries in the United States, Philippines, and Hungary. Brother Richard previously served as the Director of the St. Louis Community of Alexian Brothers and Director of Mission Integration for Missouri. Most recently, Brother Richard served as Director of Spiritual Care at Sherbrooke in St. Louis, Missouri.
Brother Richard had always felt a calling to some kind of religious life. He learned about a congregation of religious men who minister to the sick and elderly. He entered the Congregation of Alexian Brothers in 1991.

Brother Thomas Keusenkothen, C.F.A.
President/CEO -Alexian Brothers Health System
Brother Thomas Keusenkothen assumed his current position as President and Chief Executive Officer of Alexian Brothers Health System in 1998, overseeing the Alexian healthcare ministry that began more than 700 years ago. He has direct responsibility for all operations within the System, including Alexian Brothers hospitals, eldercare facilities, rehabilitation services, occupational health clinics, and community-based healthcare programs and facilities in Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Tennessee, and New Jersey.
Brother Thomas has been a member of the Provincial Council, the highest governing body of the Congregation, since September 1988. Brother Thomas, who entered the Congregation in 1959, is a graduate of the former Alexian Brothers of Medical Technology in Chicago, Illinois and holds a bachelor's degree in medical technology from DePaul in Chicago. He also has a master's degree in health facilities management from Webster University in St. Louis. From 1963 to 1975 Brother Thomas worked in the Alexian laboratories including eight years as Laboratory Supervisor and served as Director of the Alexian Brothers of Medical Technology.
In 1970, Brother Thomas served as laboratory supervisor and director of the Alexian Brothers Community at the former Alexian Brothers in Elizabeth, New Jersey. In 1975, Brother Thomas served as Administrator of Boys Town Hospital and Director of the Religious Community of Brothers in Boys Town, Nebraska.
In 1976, Brother Thomas served as Administrative Assistant for the former Alexian Brothers Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1984, he was appointed Assistant Administrator of the St. Louis hospital where he assumed the additional responsibilities of Executive Director of Alexian Brothers Health, a 55,000 square foot medical office building, and the administrator of Alexian Court, a 109-unit subsidized apartment building for the elderly. Brother Thomas was also responsible for the recruitment and development of physicians and management of hospital-owned practices.
Brother Thomas has served on numerous boards, including the boards of the Alexian Brothers Medical Center, St. Alexius Medical Center, Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, Alexian Brothers of San Jose, chairman of Alexian Brothers of St. Louis, chairman of the Alexian Brothers Hospital Network, Alexian Brothers of Chicago, Alexian Village of Milwaukee, Alexian Village of Tennessee, Chicago Catholic Healthcare System, and the Alexian Brothers Health System since 1988. He also is and has been a member of numerous boards outside the Alexian System.
