Mark Frey

Chief Executive Officer of the Alexian Brothers Hospital Network/Executive Vice President of Alexian Brothers Health System

Mark Frey was named CEO of the Alexian Brothers Hospital Network on September 1, 2007.

A 25-year Alexian Brothers employee, Mr. Frey previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, Chief Executive Officer of the Alexian Brothers Rehabilitation Hospital, and Vice President of the Alexian Neurosciences Institute. He has been the driving force behind the behavioral health hospital's growth and rise to prominence since becoming its leader in 1999. Under Frey's leadership the hospital pioneered cross-disciplinary alliances with neurologists and neurosurgeons to provide innovative treatments for Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders.

Frey completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago, his Master’s of Social Work at Loyola University of Chicago, and his Juris Doctor at the Illinois Institute of Technology/Chicago-Kent College of Law, and has held a number of administrative and teaching positions.

James Sances

Vice President and Chief Financial Officer,Alexian Brothers Health System

As CFO, Mr. Sances is responsible for overall financial direction for system activities including strategic financial planning, investment portfolio management, debt and capital structure management, insurance, operating and capital budgets, managed care strategies, tax management and financial reporting.

Mr. Sances had been employed by Alexian Brothers Health System's affiliate Alexian Brothers Medical Center since 1978 serving as Controller, then Senior Vice President and Treasurer before moving to Alexian Brothers Health System as Vice President of Finance. In 1998, Mr. Sances joined Lovelace Health Systems in Albuquerque, New Mexico as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and returned to his current position in 2001.

Mr. Sances received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Illinois, Chicago, IL and a Master of Business Administration from DePaul University, Chicago, IL.

Tracy Rogers

Vice President Operations, Alexian Brothers Health System

Ms. Rogers joined the Alexian Brothers Health System in 2007 as a corporate vice president to support operations for the Networks four Northwest suburban Chicago hospitals.

With more than 18 years of healthcare administrative experience, Rogers was previously president and CEO of Weiss Memorial Hospital, and served as CEO at four Columbia/HCA owned hospitals, including Lakeland Medical in New Orleans, LA and Columbia Suburban Hospital in Louisville, KY. Rogers was also the founder of the Tajer Group, a California-based professional consulting practice providing comprehensive business consultation and management solutions to healthcare organizations.

Ms. Rogers has a bachelors degree in business administration from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Dakota.
